Billenium

In the Literature class we read "Billenium" so the teacher told us to make a powerpoint including specific things that we saw before in class. Here is my powerpoint, i did it with Caterina Galafassi:

From my adorable grandmother

In the literature class, the teacher told us to write a poem about our thoughts or the stories their parents told us, or about any of out grandparents. I wrote my poem about my grandmother, here is it:

For my adorable grandmother

Her blue eyes are like stars

Her pretty shiny light

Her tiny cute glasses

Are even more adorable when the time passes

Her food is excellent

I never ate something better

I love going to her house

Because she is always with us

When I wanna cry,

I have her arms

When I laugh,

She always give me a smile.

She cares of me like a mother to her child

And she also reassures me when I get mad

She calls me all nights

Just to tell me how much she loves me

I love her because,

Grandma's heart is a fountain of kindness.

I want to be with her because,

If she is not around i'm empty.

My granny is the best,

she is something i cant express

Because all I have said

it is not half of her.

Games at Twilight

In the class of literature we read a book called "Games at Twilight" and we were asked to do a powerpoint about this book by Anita Desai. I did it with Catrina Galafassi:

The fall of the house of Usher

In the first class of literature we saw a video that represent a book call The fall of the house of Usher and them Mariana Gvilan told as to make a comic telling the storie.

"The day the mountain Blew Apart"

With our Language through literature teacher we read a story called “The day the mountain blew apart” on the book “arriving before i start”. The story talks about the eruption of the Mount St Helen’s that it is on Washington. We learn that people that was present at that moment were VERY lucky because the eruption passed on a Sunday, and nobody was on activity. If this happened on a Monday, instead of having fifty seven people dead, there would have been a lot more.

A historical Narrative is a story of a historical event.The people and the places are true, but it is written as a story. Biographies are usually Historical Narrative.

Jerry Wheeler went to see Mount St Helen’s that is on Washington Cascade Mountain the 18 of may of 1980. David Johnston was there too, but closer to the Mountain. But, unexpectedly, magma started pushing the walls of the mountain and they get out. Unfortunately David was very closed to the Mountain and he died. But Jerry survived.

Fifty seven people died and the forest was totally destroyed. A village that was near the Mountain, so all the ash that came out from the mountain went directly to the village. All the village was covered by ash like a ghost city. Anyone can go out because they canno’t breathe and they canno’t see. Everything was grey and black. Many species of the place died. All the schools, works, shops and houses were closed.

Coming back to life, gophers, that were under the ground, went out and worked like plows bringing the rich soil to the surface and Elk Bones help flowers to grow. But the forest will take many years to recover.

My opinion is that this is a catastrophe. But everything will recover quickly because many soils stayed there. Maybe the volcano erupted one time but no one saw it, so maybe that could be the last time the volcano erupted.

Journey to Technos. Scene 5

In Language throught Literature we did a project about a story we read "Journet to Technos", we had to add a new scene for this story and then we had to apload it to blogger.We did an oral presentation and vicky gave as a numerical mak.

Setting: house of Willie, Technos, buffer zone.

Characters: Shannon, Peter, Mike, Ginny, Willie, Willie's mother, commanders, DJ, recorded voices, bites (vendors) , and bytes.

They were in the house of Willie, they were dancing, eating, and drinking.

Willie: (shouting)DJ you don´t have some romantic music?

DJ: But I only have this type of music! (Music)

Willie: Well! Put the most romantic song you have because I want to dance with Ginny! (Willie look at Ginny romantically)

DJ: (Amazed) Is your girlfriend?

Willie: No, but I like her, I don´t know if she likes me, she is the most pretty girl I know! (While Ginny was looking at Willie)

Ginny: (Pointing at him) Willie come with me!

Willie: (Hugging her) I love you Ginny, you are the love of my life!

Ginny: (Looking at the floor) I think that you don't love me.

Willie: (Touching her hair and her chin) I will love you forever. (They were about to kiss but they instantly disappeared)

Shannon: Oh, no!

Peter: No again!

Recorded voice: Welcome to Technos, travelers. You are in a buffer zone between... Oh no you are the guys that escape. The Supreme Technocrat is looking for you, all the bytes, bites and commanders come right know!

Mike: (Shouting desesperated) Run! The bites and the bytes will kill as.

Willie: No! We have to rescue the hypnotized people.

Ginny: Yes Willie is right.(Looking at Willie) But how?

All: (Thinking) Mmm...

Mike: I know how!

All: HOW?

Mike: We have to make them laugh.

Shannon: How do you know that if you make them laugh, they will be normal?

Mike: I know because all the people hypnotized don't have feelings and if we make them laugh, they would feelings and they would be normal people again. Now we have to create a plan.

Willie: (enthusiastic) Ok, this is what we are going to do.(When Willie was explaining the plan a lots of commanders, bytes and bites where going to trap them)

Ginny: We have to hide from the bits, bytes and commanders. We have to know what we are going to do.

Shannon: (in a hurry) Lets go!

(they hide behind a wall and Willie told the plan)

Peter: I will do it!

Shannon: We have to start. The bytes, bites and commanders are coming!

Mike: Let's do it!

(Shannon and Mike go to distract the Supreme Technocrat)

Willie: Come on Peter! Is your turn

(Peter start moving his lips)

Ginny: Continue Peter you have to make them laugh!

(Shannon and Mike were distracting the Supreme Technocrat)

Mike: Shannon, you're going to go and start talking about humans.

Shannon: Ok

(bites, bytes and commanders started to laugh)

Supreme Technocrat: Oh no, my chip hurts.

Shannon: Yes! He is getting tired

(meanwhile Ginny, Willie and Peter..)

Peter:Uff, I'm getting tired of doing this.

Ginny: But the bits, bytes and commanders are starting to laugh.

Willie: Continue Peter! Just a little more.

Peter:(crying) no I can't I am sorry please forgive me.

Ginny: Peter please don't cry don't worry we will find the way to make they continue laughing.

Willie: They are still laughing, they will continue until they recover they thoughts

Peter: Ok, I hope this will function

Ginny: Don't worry!

(Mike and Shannon run to Willie)

Willie: What are you doing here? You've to be distracting the Supreme

Shannon: That's why I'm here. He is failing.

(Bits, Bytes and commanders start laughing)

Willie: Failing? What is happening with him?

Mike: His chip is failing. I think he would turn off, and the city too. We won't escape! Is now or never.

Ginny: We have to escape. What we are going to do with the Bytes, Bits and Commanders?

Shannon: We have to locate all the amplifiers in this city and transport the Bytes, Bits and Commanders to their original house.

Willie: It ´s a good idea!!!!!!

Mike:The mayor part of the amplifiers are in Technopolis.

Peter: And the other part in the factory.

Shannon: First we have to make two groups and then we have to go to the different places. Mike, Peter and me to the factory, Willie and Ginny to Technopolis.

Ginny: Ok, in one hour we have to be here.

All: Ok

(they start to walk)

Willie: Come on Ginny! We have to hurry up, the city would turn off.

Ginny: Ok, ok. Concentrate in the amplifiers.

Peter: There is the factory!

Shannon: Great! Hurry up, we've to take the amplifiers to Willie.

Mike: Come on! I don't want to be here forever!

Shannon: So hurry up!

(Shannon, Mike and Peter find the factory and take the amplifiers to Willie. Willie and Ginny are looking for Technopolis)

Ginny: There! There is Technopolis. Go! We have to hurry up.

Willie: Ok. I also want to go to my house

(finally they meet at Techno's City and they start teleporting people)

Mike: We have thirty minutes to escape.

Shannon: So...

All: (interrupting Shannon) Yes we know, hurry up!

(twenty-five minutes later)

Peter: Great! We only have to teleport ten people of two hundred and thirty people.

Mike: Well, but we have five minutes!

Willie: So teleport them and run to the circle of light

Shannon: Well, we have to go we only have four minutes!

Ginny: Don't worry we would do it.

(when they have only one minute)

Mike: Hurry up! We only have one minute

Willie: Ok come on, go to the circle of light!

(they traveled to Willie's house)

All: Yes! We do it! We are at home.

Shannon: (she whispered to Willie) I know that you like Ginny and Ginny likes you.

Willie: Really! Really?

Shannon: Yes! You would be a good couple.

Willie: Ok now I would say her what I feel.

(Willie goes with Ginny)

Willie: Peter can you stay us alone?

Peter: Ok...

Willie: Thanks. Well, Ginny I have to say you something. I would be directly. I love you. I feel many things about you.

Ginny: Oh Willie, you are so cute.

Willie: (interrupting) Wait, I have a question (Ginny looks at Willie) Ginny, would you like to be my girlfriend?

Ginny: (nervous) Willie, yes I want!

Willie: Really! (he stood on a chair) Listen everybody

Ginny: No! Don't say it yet!

Willie:Yes I would say it, Ginny is my girlfriend!

(everybody start to dance and to clap, they celebrate and they promise to no say nothing and to take care of things that are rare)
